Muban Awards Artists at Cleveland Museum of Art
Works of Muban Awards artists were exhibited in Modern Impressions – Light and Water in Chinese Prints, at Cleveland Museum of Art, USA.
November 11, 2022-May 7, 2023.
Exhibited artists included: Cao Ou, He Sanqing, Li Yuxuan, Qu Zuochun and Xu Zhonghong. Their prints were exhibited alongside prints by Chen Qi.
The exhibition was curated by Clarissa von Spee, she wrote:
“Over the last five years, the Cleveland Museum of Art has acquired works by contemporary Chinese printmakers that are here on display for the first time. By bringing diversity in geography and gender to the museum’s prints and drawings collection, these artists demonstrate the exploration of the print medium in new ways and diverse formats. This presentation of modern impressions focuses on the visual and atmospheric effects of light and water.”
